Please join Hugs From Friends in collecting art supplies and music books for children displaced by the war in Ukraine. Creativity inspires hope and healing. Through painting and music, these children find meaningful ways to process their experiences and the trauma of war.
About Hugs From Friends
Hugs From Friends started in Bentonville, Arkansas in 2022 to encourage children in the United States to create artwork to show support for Ukrainian children and families that have been impacted by the war. We partner with individuals, schools, businesses and community organizations across the United States. We send the artwork to schools, community organizations and humanitarian centers in Ukraine.
Our Impact at a Glance
We have shipped 67 aid shipments containing 2,339 pieces of children’s artwork, 2,234 Beanie Babies, 827 winter clothing items, 368 pounds of art supplies, over 100 books, music instruments, and many other needed items to schools and community partners.
These shipments have reached children and families across Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Lviv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kropyvnytskyi, as well as the Humanitarian Center in Przemysl, Poland at the start of the war.

We are very glad to have you with us. Now, more than ever, we need your support, because Ukraine has been at war for more than half a year. It took away our dreams, cheerful laughter, peaceful sleep, shot our spring and summer. The people of Ukraine have rallied even more to fight for freedom and independence, so your help is extremely important to them.

We love you, Americans, as our brothers and we thank you very much for your care and help. We are grateful that you are not standing aside during such a difficult time for us.

I would love to share with you a true miracle that happened yesterday, Dec 24, on Christmas Eve.
Our city got severe damages. The entire day we were hiding from shahed explosions. Residential apartment buildings, houses, a few kindergartens and a school were damaged. As a result of shelling, we did not have water, heating nor electricity. And in such a difficult time, we received a parcel from you: full of cards and art works that we looked at with the help of flashlight. It was so touching and heartwarming for us. It was as if a tiny ray of hope had paid a visit to our kindergarten! We sincerely thank each and every child, your organization, for your support!!! THANK YOU!!!
